State of the Union 2012

I've received a lot of email over the past few weeks so I figure I should clarify my recent website update. For anyone that didn't notice, in late 2011 I announced that I would no longer be offering custom guitars. A lot of people took this to mean I was hanging it up and closing the shop. While I'm the first one to point out my numbers over the last few years have been laughable, I have no intention of ending my luthiery career. Also, there's no shop to close, it's just my garage...

What I did mean to say is from now on I will not take custom or advanced orders for any instrument. I will only sell completed instruments. I apologize to the people that I've been in contact with over the years hoping to get a custom instrument, but because of the time required for my day job and family life I will not be taking any advanced orders at any time in the foreseeable future. I do intend to continue building new guitars with the main focus on eco-friendly instruments and USA sourced lumber, parts & materials. On that note, here are some new photos of the completed SF3co prototype. I intend on staring another one soon.

Thanks for all the interest and support!
